Norm Smith, our good friend and long-time customer, is about to take off on a globe-hopping adventure with Helge Peterson, renowned world traveler and author of Ten years on Two Wheels. Their journey starts in Shanghai, China on April 27 and ends in Munich, Germany on June 29.
 
Norm is very well known in the BMW riders community because he has been the legendary force behind the BMW demo rides at rallies for numerous years.  Norm is a Washington DC resident which has allowed us at Bob's the pleasure of regularly servicing his motorcycles.  Preparing his 1993 R100GS/PD for this exciting adventure was a special privilege for us. Our techs thoroughly serviced the bike and provided him with an emergency spares kit as well.
 
We wish Norm, Helge, and the others riding in their small group the best of adventures.  Once the trip gets underway we will be posting some news on our web site as soon as Norm has the opportunity to send us a few words or images.
